The publications by Chuvashia’s specialists in Russian nursing journals in the past 11 years (2003-2013) are analyzed. Intensive scientific activity in nursing is associated with the opening of a Higher Nursing Education Faculty at the Chuvash State University and with the training of high-quality staff (public health managers).
