The authors propose programs for training nursing bachelors at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, Durban (Republic of South Africa), which are oriented to primary health care to the population. Four basic lines of nurses’ activity: total nursing care, nursing in mental diseases, obstetric nursing, and community health nursing, are presented.
