Hair is considered one of the most important factors of attractiveness, like all other structures of the human body, they are subject to aging processes. The variety of causes that cause aging of hair follicles and scalp skin can be conditionally divided into external and internal circumstances. Clinical variants are presented more often by a combination of an increasing pattern of androgenetic alopecia with cyanotic changes with age. We should also not forget about the role of multimorbid conditions characteristic of elderly patients and affecting the hair: nutritional deficiencies, endocrine disorders, psychological disorders and adverse events caused by taking medications. Today, due to the increasing life expectancy, the task of preserving the external attractiveness of hair is becoming more and more urgent.
