His research interests include: epidemiological studies in psychiatry and drug treatment; optimisation of psychiatry teaching in medical universities; psychiatric nursing.

Author of about 1000 scientific publications, including seven monographs, two manuals, 390 journal articles, 10 rationalisation proposals and three inventions (patents), 100 teaching aids for doctors and students, editor of more than 20 collections of scientific papers.
